Compound works huge portions of the body, while isolated only works one isolated muscle. You should put more priority to the compound because they have been shown to stimulate more overall muscle growth, due to the stress it puts on the body. The most common ones are the deadlifts, squats and bench press. All three of these should be in your workout routine.
The next thing you have to have down is your diet. If you’re not eating properly, it doesn’t matter how good your workout is, your results will be below potential. I never started to get massive success until I started putting more time into my diet than my workout. Now I eat every 2-3hrs, to constantly feed my muscles and boost my metabolism.
Finally, you need to get the necessary sleep your body deserves. When you’re lifting weights, essentially, you’re just destroying the body. It needs time to rest and do major repairs, so give it a full 9hrs.
